AVIATE Hosts Successful Autonomy Fest Showcasing NASA ULI Collaboration

In late May, the AVIATE Center hosted a two-day Autonomy Fest as part of our ongoing NASA University Leadership Initiative (ULI) project on robust and resilient autonomy. The event brought together partner institutions, students, and industry collaborators to demonstrate integrated autonomy technologies and real-world flight tests — including the tech transfer of the L1 adaptive controller to the VISTA F-16 platform from Lockheed Martin.

We are excited to share a short highlight video compiled by Dr. Christos Papachristos (University of Nevada, Reno), which captures key moments from the event.

We thank our collaborators, advisory board, and NASA leadership for their continued support. Full details and footage are available on the AVIATE website.
